I really wish something could be done about this - it's a bit embarassing having my own name roll in people's media players as the artist... :p

You can replace the entire item using the 'replace item' screen:

http://www.archive.org/update_item.php

There's a message there that the replace item isn't currently working.

That's only for movies.

Oh, OK. Thanks for the news! However is that message necessary there, then? You can't get to the replace page from movie entry pages in any case.

Suppose I were to replace all MP3 VBR files. Would the zip-file also get automatically replaced, or would I need to upload that separately?

The instructions say, "Upload all the files for the item (not just the ones you want to change) into this directory. Any files you do not upload into this directory will be deleted from the live item!"

Does this mean the deriver isn't ran again?
